- It does not allow paper granules to flow.
- Allows vapors to circulate freely. It is important to use paper and not a PVC sheet, because in the case of the use of the PVC sheet it would act as a vapor barrier. Therefore, condensation can accumulate on the back of this sheet, which will damage the wooden structure of the floor over time. At the same time, a PVC barrier will not accidentally allow the water to evacuate the sheet. We are talking about small quantities of water here, we reach the excavation of the sheet after small domestic accidents.
- And in the case of an accumulation of accidental water at the level of the dry filling layer, the paper would help to avoid the entire surface with dry excavation. The paper allows the natural drainage of the water, the necessary repairs are reduced only to a possible restoration of the finishing of the floor diagram, without the need to dismantle the dry excavation and to heat the floor above it.
Other procedures to follow:
- The perimeter is mounted on strips of mineral wool or sponge, 10 cm wide, with the role of eliminating acoustic bridges. On the paper support layer, Pearlite is mounted with a level of leveling and with a thickness of at least 2 mm.
- A dish is mounted with a support role for underfloor heating. This can be a widening plate or a thin OSB plate.
- Above the support plate there is a layer of thin expanded polystyrene, of maximum 25 mm, in which the pipes for the pavilion are mounted. These pipes must be included in some radiant metal profiles. The role of these profiles is to distribute the heat to the Vidifloor plates evenly and efficiently. Warning: metal profiles must be perfectly on underfloor heating pipes. Usually, they are made available by the underfloor heating provider, being sized to the size of the tube. The purchase or creation of higher profiles, in which the tube «plays» or in which there are air spaces, leads to a decrease in the efficiency of the heat that takes over from the profiles and its transmission to the Vidifloor plates.
- Above the pipes and under the Vidifloor plates, a PVC sheet is mandatory with the role of the vapor barrier. The role of the PVC sheet is to protect condensation plates. The condensation accumulates over time in the channels of the underfloor heating polystyrene plates, it can occur over time after long periods of non -use of the heating of the floor, its sets and stops, due to the adjustments from a higher temperature or an accidental loss. If this condensation is not blocked, influence the void cards over time and damage them. That’s why the access of this condensation to the Vidifloor plates must be blocked with the vapor barrier. The condensation is evacuated in the form of steam (drying) when the underfloor heating is used.
